There is a desk space available in my new studio! Unfortunately we had to leave our old place near London Fields because it was being turned into... you've guessed it: flats. But we found a new place in a converted warehouse near Hackney Downs and we all moved into two weeks ago. You'll be sharing with me and seven other illustrators...

When my mum came to visit me in London earlier this year we spent a few very enjoyable days drawing together. We both loved it so much, we said to each other 'we should do this more often!'. My mum came up with the idea of going on an artist retreat and found this cottage on the West coast of Ireland, owned by a group of artists from Amsterdam...

A desk space has become available at my studio, right next to me! I'm on the third floor of The Printhouse, part of Bootstrap Company, a social enterprise founded in 1977 that supports charities and small creative businesses. It's a big open plan office in the heart of Dalston, East London, with friendly people working in design, music, film and events.

I'm loving this summer! But as much as I enjoy the heat, the temperatures at the studio are pushing it a bit.. It's been so hot (35C!) I've been forced to take my drawing pad outside. Luckily I live close to two lovely parks. I couldn't resist making some doodles of all the interesting characters that were surrounding me...

Before I vacated my studio I made sure I swapped some art work with some of my very talented studio mates. I swapped a drawing of a cat with Godmachine for one of his limited edition Seven Lives mugs...

A while back I finally got around to putting some shelves up in my studio to display my collection of zines and illustration related magazines. And recently I finally got around to taking a picture of it. I now I'm finally getting around to actually blogging about it!

Things are slowly starting to come together at the new studio. The butt ugly carpet has been ripped out and my roomie and I have painted our space. Big question now is what to do with the bare wooden floor?? While looking online for some inspiration and (low budget) solutions I came across this beautiful floor by Pernille Snedker Hansen, a Danish designer...

I’ve signed the contract so it’s official: as of January 1st 2012 I’ll have a studio space in the Morgan Arcade in Cardiff! With 12 other illustrators, designers and artists I will move in on the second floor of this beautiful Victorian arcade. I’m very much looking forward to having an ‘office’ (which means home will be a home again) and ‘colleagues’!

  Look what’s gracing my desk as of today!! Finally hunted one down for £3.99 at a charity shop. So happy!
